So let's be honest. most middle schools are bad anyway. But Windy Hill has always topped my list out of the many schools i have been to. Some of the teachers have little to no teaching experience. But then you have some extremely skilled teachers that only teach honors. Which sucks for kids who don't do so well in school, or live in low-income families because they get taught that there is no way out for them. Now middle school is bad anyway but there is definitely a higherarcy with kids who come from very rich families, who get all honors and are taught how to be successful in the real world, but then there are kids from low-income families that are taught that they can't make it. Now it's not directly said to them, but it's heavily implied. Fights break out between kids on the daily, some students will hide in a corner and wait until school is over. Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing teachers at this school and the councilors at this school try very hard to help the kids. Mrs. White and Mrs. Roehm are very skilled at there jobs and they are appreciated greatly. But kids aren't encouraged to go talk to them about problems they are having. Also the school nurse is very lovely as well.

Very good education. The way this school teaches is VERY good. I was here for 6th 7th and part of 8th grade. There are very good teachers here. I highly recommend this school. Probably the best middle school ever.

to read a comment to the contrary.

I found my telephone contact with the school to be pleasant and polite and was surprised

The main problem isn't the staff, it's more of the way they handle bullying at this school. Bullying is constant. Kids can very mean, but they don't get taught how to not take it out on each other. Yelling at a bully for being a bully isn't going to make them stop being a bully. Yes there needs to be harsher consequences for bullies but they also need to be taught how to work with people instead of harassing them.

When i left this school i was very angry. I blamed it for many issues i have had. But since i am older, i feel that it is necessary to try and teach people about the many issues i saw when i was a student here. Don't be completely deterred from sending your kids here. because some kids thrive here. but those are the lucky ones. I know a lot of kids who go to WHMS don't have a choice, but sincerely, talk to your middle schooler(s) about the problems they have run into. Maybe these critiques can make it a better place.

It's an ok school, food tastes like prison food. Just pack a lunch and remember to not forget it in your locker

A great school with great fundamentals. Take it from me, been here for years.

Also the unnecessary budget cuts. One year, during the end of the year, the AC was turned off do to "budget cuts"
